Project Week 2026

Projektwoche 2025
Once again this year, I had the chance to take part in the project week at Alstergymnasium in Henstedt-Ulzburg (Schleswig-Holstein). During the week of June 29th, turnout was even higher than last year. Under the topic Code Your World!, 27 students wanted to learn how to create their own Experience (world) using Roblox Studio and the programming language Lua(u).

The strong interest and also the higher number of girls, compared to last year, were very encouraging. Creativity knew no bounds as students used Roblox Studio to create their own objects and worlds. This wasn’t limited to mouse-driven building — objects were also created and explosions triggered through code. Conveyor belts, ladders, trampolines, and more were added to each student’s own world using the matching Luau script. The animation shows a small part of the results from the project.

Everyone got involved with enthusiasm and energy, which is why “Du bist gut genug!” was often chanted, with the whole group joining in. That high-pitched chorus can be pretty hard on adult ears — afterward, you need something like metal music as a contrast to recover.

On the last day, we also managed to get many fellow students excited to thoroughly test out our games.

A short guide and the code examples we used are available at Code Your World! Create Your Own Experience with Luau and Roblox Studio.
